These museum quality limited editions of 40 Giclee prints are hand signed, numbered and printed  onto 310gsm Hahnemuhle cotton rag paper. They are supplied unframed, rolled up in a tube.

Willendorf Story

Inspired by the ‘Venus’ of Willendorf sculpture, a tiny limestone carving created
some 1,000 generations ago. Fitting snugly in the hand, she was easily portable
for her early human owner. But calling her Venus is nonsense as she pre-dates
the roman goddess by around 25,000 years.

We can only guess why she was made, or by whom. Theories range from fertility
totem to ancient erotica, but my favourite is that she is a self portrait created by
a woman - hence the abnormally small feet and large bust and featureless face.
